Hello Guys,
How are you all. We are back with again our favorite column Talk of Indian Cinema
on 4th Weekend of July. I’m warm welcoming to all on the
last weekend of Jabardast July. Its rainy season and every drops of the rain
feel something different and many time we are glad but this weekend we talk
something knowledge based talk which ever important in aspects of cinema but
the audience don’t have sufficient knowledge about it so I present such a great
topic, it’s not for only Indian cinema but it’s necessary for world cinema and
its officially invented from the foreign cinema. We inherit it and move slowly
on its way.
Today we talk
about the technology evolution in the Film industry. So we talk why its
necessary, why we adopt technological improvement in film making & other
sectors , what the advantages we got after the technological improvement. So
let’s move to the actual points.
As time
changing , everything changed faster, knowledge & information can take
place to changes and change is inevitable. With that , the development of
motion pictures complexity changed the industry by evolution of technology. We
all have a proof that films are changed in last 50 years. Since the film making
start we know that films are black and white and now films are colourful with
VFX. The intricacy of filmmaking
technology has rapidly progressed, allowing creative potential for filmmakers.
Films are often due to technological advances, or even to reintroduce a classic
story. If we talk about the change with this we take a example of Maughal – E –
Azam & Sholay. Which films also recreate with technology. First release of
Maughal – E –Azam in 90s are completely black & white film and after 2000s
it relaunch with color with ultra quality. Similarly we look into sholay when
the film release it great work but after few years in 2000s it created with
animation with all the legends characters scatch and it also make a great
impact on audience . till date these both films can remember in audience mind.
Even we just heard the name of any film our mind start the capturing memories
its one of the reason technology recreation although story is matter and its
always stands first.
The central element of the film kingkong was
made in 90s but it recreate with normal strory modification in 2000s with
visual effects and its wins the best VFX award in Oscar. Even this film when initially
released in 1933 it was super hit but after almost 80 years when it recreate
with technology its break the record of the box office and everyone should love
the film.
An evolution of special effects and introduction of computerized
animation brought standard of the film making to higher level. The development
of this new technical aspects of computer generated image for less money and
more effective than in past
Has allowed failrly low budget
films. Nowdays movie used CGI to create special effects to replace thodusand of
extra people and puppet as witnessed in lord of rings. The evolution of this
computer generated imagery has taken industry to new level.
Animation has been a huge contributor to today’s media when it comes to
movies and televisions programing. For decades, using a series of images to
create the illusion of movement, has evolved into billion dollar industries for
entertainment. Animated movies are in a completely different league of their
own and, no matter how simple they may seem, require a sufficient amount of
technique as well as technology. Many times during action or stunt scene
use animation and VFX to make it real.
There has however been conflict when it comes to this form of media in
regards to whether or not traditionally animated films, whether it be stop
motion or hand drawn pictures, are becoming obsolete since the advent of CGI
(computer generated imagery). Animation fans from all walks of life have
segregated themselves in accordance to what they believe is the better form of
animation.
So Guys this was some of the points regarding technology which I discuss
over here. As technology is a large concept , as film industry is a large era
just discuss some of the points with some famous films example yet many points
are pending which will discuss some next time . I hope you enjoyed a lot and
